Thor Myklebust ia a business development and certification manager of functional safety at SINTEF Digital, Norway. He holds a Cand. Scient. in physics and additional two years  at university level on business development, psychology and statistics. He has experience in certification of products and systems since 1987. Myklebust has participated in several international committees since 1988 and is a committee member of IEC 65 (safety), IEC 61508 (safety), and CENELEC/TC 9 (railway). He served as the vice-chairman and chairman of NB-rail from October 2013 to October 2015. Myklebust are involved in large industry-oriented research and development projects addressing the implementation and effect of agile methods for developing systems that will undergo certification according to IEC61508, EN 5012X and other related standards.
